During a time when privacy issues are important around the world, this is a definite plus. Another thing that I enjoy about this site is the advanced search options it offers. The site can allow you to find matches which are good for you within your local area, and it can be done quickly.

Despite this, if you're receiving harassing messages from someone, you can send them notice, and they immediately block it. For me, the primary thing which makes this site impressive is the large number of countries that it features. Unlike other dating sites, it doesn't limit itself, and you can look for matches from Italy to Azerbaijan, Fiji, and Ethiopia. In fact, there are countries featured on this site that most people have never even heard of. The key thing which separates LavaPlace from other sites is the emphasis it places on International dating and foreign brides. It is like a combination of Yahoo Personals, with a foregin marriage twist.

Of course, those who are looking to meet singles closer to home also have this option available to them, but the site doesn't limit itself in this regard. The site has a nice and simple design, and is easy to navigate. While it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of OkCupid or Fling, those things aren't really necessary anyway, and can actually be confusing for some people. Besides, with over 100,000 members, LavaPlace is testament to the fact that you don't need a whole lot of bells and whistles in order to be successful. Overall, LavaPlace is a great dating site for those who are looking for local singles, and especially those who wish to expand their horizons to meet international singles.

The one complaint which has often been made about LavaPlace is that it doesn't have a large number of security features. While the site says it values the privacy of its users, and doesn't share their email addresses with others, not having enough security features actually puts the site at a major disdavantage. For those who are not bothered by this, and would still like to give LavaPlace a try, my best advice to them is to avoid giving away any important information. This website has also been attacked for the type of members it has. Many new members to the site have complained that the existing members have unrealistic expectations, and are misguided about what they actually want.

Some have argued that LavaPlace is a great site to join if you have time on your hands, but otherwise, you should steer clear of it. While the design of the site is simple and easy to navigate, some have complained that it lacks the style and finesse of more established dating sites, and that this could be a turn off for new visitors. Another problem with LavaPlace is that there just isn't enough to separate this site from the many foreign marriage dating sites that are on the web today. For example, I did a search for Ethiopian women, and the site only came up with two or three matches. When I did another search for Dominican women, the site showed a man, even though I specifically stated I was searching for women in the search options!

This to me shows that more work needs to be done on the search structure, and more members must be added to the database. In my opinion, the biggest downfall that this site has is that it tries to cater to too many people, and by trying to please everyone, it doesn't concentrate on any given area. There are already sites on the web which specialize in Russian, Ethiopian, Columbian, and just about every other type of foreign women you can think of, and these sites have a large number of available women. Why waste time on a site that only has a few matches in many countries, when I can go join a site that specializes in a specific country, and has a large number of matches?

The online dating market is extremely competitive, and to have a chance of staying above water over the long term, LavaPlace must focus on a niche market, and avoid trying to cater to too many people at one time. By doing this, the site lowers its appeal. I'm personally not impressed by the number of results that I got in my search queries.
