Overview

I liked gay.com because despite the sexy look to the site, most members were looking for long term love as opposed to a fling. There was also a very resource that most online dating sites do NOT - and that is local community events and social gatherings listed. I found that to be very impressive. Additionally the site does not charge a ton of money to join.

Costs

A trial of one-week is $9.95; one-month is $19.95; three-months is $42.95 or slightly more than $14.00 per month; and a year-long membership costs $89.95 or $7.50 per month. Not bad!

Features

Free members are able to browse and post a profile with photos. Paid members are able to browse and post a profile with photos and also chat and email members. There is also the capability to stream films of gay content. OUT and ADVOCATE magazine subscriptions are included in a membership from three-months and up.

Summary

Gay.com is a great site for those looking for a relationship or short term relations with other gay, lesbian or bisexual people. The site is attractive looking and there seems to be no scammers and spammers. The only thing that bothered me is the high amount of advertising on the site (that is my pet peeve).

I really liked the community outreach that happens on gay.com. People who want to meet in groups or one-on-one at an event will learn about what is going on around town. It's a very friendly vibe at gay.com because of this.

The site also seems highly secure as customer service seemed to be around and not hiding from issues. I was impressed. I posed an inquiry and was taken care of by email within twenty minutes. Not many sites have that turn around time.

The price was also very reasonable.
