Overview

Not a bad site for "free." There are older members here and some caucasians looking for an asian partner but it's all out there in the open so that does not deter me from wanting to join. The real question is, how legit are the members there and are they real people? Worth a try despite some obvious fake profiles there.

Asianromance.com allows a member to add a profile with a photo, search other members, join forum discussions and post there, purchase a love token to send to another member, partake in a secret admirer service, and learn about local in-person events for meeting others in the local asian community.

Search Options

A quick search is gender, age, ethnicity and profile with photos only. A more in depth search has the same as a quick search but also has marital status, primary language, height range, location, appearance (such as eye and hair color), smoking and drinking habits, occupation and income, children and religion.

Summary

This site was a neat option for free. I mean, there was a lot for me to browse and discover on this site and I didn't pay a cent or have to furnish any information about myself. Now, that might not fare well for those looking for an asian partner because just as I discovered the ease factor on asianromance.com, I suspect others with lame intentions are doing the same.

There were some poorly made and fake profiles but they jumped out at me fairly early on. Other profiles seemed legit while others had some terrible photo choices. This is simply not a glamourous site. One gets what he or she has paid for so there is no professional profiler on the site who will find the perfect match based on questions in a personality profile. Nor will one find the same safety measures found on another site either. Therefore, it's very easy to meet a fake profiler so one should proceed with caution.

I really appreciated the in-person out-reach advertised on the site so other members could meet at local events and functions. I also really enjoyed the forum and what it had to offer in postings from members.

So, my conclusion for asianromance.com is to be wary but to be open to meeting others there, too. Don't give out too much information too early on but take the time to browse a bit. It's free so it won't cost anything but a little bit of time for true love.
